No one is "nuking the moon".

They plan to shoot some kind of satelitte at it which will throw some dust up so they can analyze the dust for traces of something, water I think. Sounds pretty stupid to me as a taxpayer, but NASA says if we are ever going move outwards from Earth, water cannot be (at this time) feasibly taken along or shipped, so has to be on site. No nukes, just high impact. Nonetheless, the meme is going around we are nuking the moon, please spread the word it just ain't so. There was a plan back in the 50s I think, but no one has revised it since it was scrapped.

Fortunately, it seems to be snowing on Mars, so that's something.
